All places at Lodestar Academy are commissioned by Torbay Council’s Education Service; students will be admitted through:
Schools wishing to refer a learner to the Academy must complete a referral form and submit it to the LA admissions office; this will also be the case for a parent wishing for their child to join the Academy. The LA Admissions office will share the information with the PRP and The Academy to assess whether the learner meets the criteria and whether the referring school has already made significant efforts to address their individual needs.
When admitting a learner to the Academy, all parties must be in agreement that it is in the best interests of the learner.
